Stephen Pace, III  Obituary

Stephen Pace III, 66, of Macon, walked into heaven singing, as he was taking the hand of Jesus on Monday, June 12, 2017. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at High Point Church; The Reverend Trey Dickerson will officiate. Entombment will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, before making their way in procession to High Point Church for the service. They will have an additional time of visitation on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road.

 Born on December 8, 1950, in Americus, Georgia to the late Stephen Pace, Jr. and Grace Greene Pace, Steve was an Eagle Scout in Americus, Georgia troop 21 under Scout Master Charlie Hogg. He was an active member of High Point Church, where he was an Elder, and served as Worship Leader for over 15 years. Steve was the former Clerk of Court for the Bibb County Juvenile Court.

 

Steve was greeted in Heaven by his grandfather, United States Congressman, Stephen Pace, Sr. As well as his father: Stephen Pace, Jr.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Sandi Pace. Son: Alvin Pace, mother: Grace Greene Pace. Brother: Mark Pace (Kay), godsons: Wendell, Michael and Mitchell Barefoot. Cousin: Stephanie Pace Swift. Nephew: Keith Pace (Jennifer), niece: Christie Amerson ( Steven), Great niece: Laura Kate Pace and Juliana Pace. Many additional nephews, nieces, cousins, and 11 great nieces and nephews.

 

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Debbie Senseman, Diane Hortman, Amber Cryer, Dr. Harry Linkous, and staff and Dr. Mark Hendricks and staff for the help and support they have given us over the last six and a half years.

 

Following the service at Glen Haven, everyone is invited to 7216 Benji Drive, Macon Ga, 31216 for fellowship and refreshments.
